Celebrated DJ and producer Bernardo Campos is set to release his much-anticipated EP, ‘Acid House News,’ on the Brazilian label Me Gusta Records. This release features four original tracks that showcase Bernardo’s versatile artistry across various sub-genres of house music.
Hailing from Rio de Janeiro, Bernardo Campos has been an important figure in the city’s electronic music scene since his career took off in 2008. Known for his dynamic performances and impeccable mixing skills, Bernardo has held residencies at iconic clubs like Fosfobox, Dama de Ferro, and Clandestino. His influence extends through numerous high-profile electronic music parties, including his own event series, RARA. This party has been instrumental in bringing legends such as Derrick Carter and Derrick May to Rio.
Bernardo’s impressive productions has seen support from industry heavyweights like Laurent Garnier, Richard Dorfmeister, Fish Go Deep, and Fouk, and features remixes from Rick Wade, Jkriv, Hotmood, and Felipe Gordon.
The ‘Acid House News’ EP exemplifies Bernardo’s dedication to musical exploration and innovation. The title track, ‘Acid House News,’ delivers a vibrant house groove, while ‘Arturo Bandini’ and ‘Lambreta’ delve into the intricate rhythms of minimal/deep-tech. The EP closes with ‘Descendo a Providência,’ a deep house track that captures the essence of Bernardo’s sound.
