Dublin gets a double helping of house talent this Friday March 8th as Matthias Meyer returns to the capital alongside All Day I Dream’s Sébastien Léger. The recently refurbished Opium Rooms will play host to the sets from the longtime Watergate resident and the French Dj and Producer.
These past few months on the road have proved to be some of the most memorable moments for Meyer from huge USA tour taking in the likes of Public Works in San Fran and SBCLTR in LA to his summer performances in Ibiza at the likes of Black Coffee and Bedouin’s Saga. The German DJ is known to create a special atmosphere during his sets, with a style that ranges from uplifting and orchestral to deep tribal grooves. In recent times he has released a of series gems including the Beatport number 1 ‘Hope’ alongside Ryan Davis on his much loved Watergate Records and his Pete Tong supported remix of Butch – ‘Shahzrad’. There’s a unique and emotional sound to Meyer’s DJ sets and productions, which is supported by his ease behind the decks, a combination that has seen him visit Ireland on numerous occasions.
Alongside him, legendary electronic artist Sébastien Léger was raised on music. Over the 20 years has experimented with an array of different genres, constantly adapting to new styles. His recent renaissance has placed him right in the centre of Lee Burridge’s All Day I Dream movement, while his own label Lost Miracle is also now in the offing.
The two previously played in Tengu, Dublin in 2017 and 2018 and will no doubt be warmly welcomed back by Irish crowds
