German artist Ben Evers has been a part of house music’s underground for many years as half of Adana Twins. He is now branching out into new creative worlds and digging deep into fresh influences and inspirations on his own. His fine solo works have already impressed on the likes of Permanent Vacation, Correspondant and Live At Robert Johnson but now he launches his new imprint, Eternal Sunshine, with a fresh house sound.
The infectious ‘Let It Go’ ft. Keshia is a real party starter thanks to the throwback chords which dance over the elastic house drums. Twisted synths, old-school cow bells and well-designed percussion all flesh out the hands-in-the-air groove while Keshia provides an impassioned vocal that is sure to make this one a summer festival favourite.
Canadian multi-instrumentalist, composer, vocalist and DJ Jex Opolis has proven to be a unique voice over the past decade. His labels Good Timin’ and the club-focused Bad Timin’ have been a constant presence in the record bags of some of the world’s most beloved DJs and his sounds defy easy categorisation. His punchy remix is a turbocharged house cut that heads into space on cosmic arps and with sci-fi pads swirling around the soulful vocal.
To celebrate this new journey, Ben Evers takes over the Prima Lux series and gives us a glimpse into what we can expect from this shimmering venture. Enjoy!
