Coming into the second weekend here of Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival’s ninth-annual event, and despite the cool weather there are plenty of amazing artists to keep your nights heated. Aside from hosting legendary acts like Kerri Chandler and Robert Hood, this year’s event will include a series of BEMF TALKS, run in association with THUMP, followed by a screening of THUMP’s 2016 documentary, J.A.Z. and the Church of Episco-Disco.
The talks will take place at Kinfolk 94 and will be open to the public this Saturday, November 12th. Topics of conversation will cover everything from LGBT involvement in dance music, over saturation in the digital age, as well as the past and future of Brooklyn’s underground music scene.
If the panels aren’t your thing though, BEMF’s musical programming for weekend two will be sure to supply your fix. Robert Hood, Bryan Kasenic and Volvox will soundtrack a night at a new Brooklyn warehouse, while King Britt plays an extended all night long set at Trans Pecos, and THUMP hosts the Black Madonna b2b Mike Servito show with support from Honey Dijon at Analog BKNY.
